In the Wings
Created in 2023, In the Wings is a small graphic novel by Ashlyn Simmons completed as a fine arts capstone. The story tells of a young girl who falls into the worlds of theatrical productions and becomes part of the shows, all while trying to escape reality and the problems faced with her sister.
About the Artist
Having lived the majority of her life in Columbus, Georgia, Ashlyn has worked as an artist from a young age. She knew that art was her passion, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in studio fine arts, with a minor in business administration. She has worked on a multitude of theatre productions, as well as had work displayed in several exhibitions, and continues to look for artistic opportunities as she advances her career post graduate.
